Located within minutes of Storm Lake and set between the larger cities of Sioux City to the west and Fort Dodge to the east, Schaller has become a popular choice for people who enjoy the easy pace of a small town without sacrificing the conveniences of a big city. It hosts a Public Library; Volunteer Fire Department; K-8 School shared with Early, IA with the High School in Early; Locally-owned Telephone company; Post Office, multiple Religious organizations, Bank, Coop Elevator, Grocery Store, an active Chamber of Commerce, Swimming Pool and other businesses. They also host the annual Popcorn Days Celebration.
