The purpose of the Schaller Library is to enhance the personal development of its citizens by seeking to meet their informational needs.

Schaller Emergency Services

Schaller strives for prevention of emergencies and protection of citizens through the presence of officers and community involvement. The town is protected by coverage provided by the Sac County Sheriff's Department.

The town of Schaller has an excellent working relationship with the Fire Department and Ambulance Services along with all area law enforcement agencies. Help is available for assistance to any person in need whether in Schaller, or out of town through mutual aid.

Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department

The Schaller Volunteer Fire & Rescue is solely a volunteer organization built on tradition. It maintains a staff of local active firefighters. They meet monthly.

Several Firefighters are trained to the Firefighter I certification level. We also have Firefighters trained to Firefighter II certification, Driver/Operator, Haz Mat Operations, First responder, and EMT.

Our department maintains Pumpers, a Tanker, and a Rescue Unit. The Rescue is equipped with the Jaws-of-Life, Air Bags, SCBA, Generator w/Lights, Ropes, Tools and other utility equipment.

Ambulance/Hospitals

Schaller is a town filled with people dedicated to helping their friends and neighbors. Of those current members there are EMT-I's, EMT-B's, EMT-D's, First Responders and two assistants. The ambulance service is currently running as a transporting service with hopes of some year going to a full paramedic service.
